A special example of the 2023 Chevrolet COPO Camaros is currently for sale at Mecum Auctions, and it is one of just 69 examples of this Camaro muscle car ever built.
This special edition paid homage to those from the 1960s, and at the time, Chevrolet made them available with a choice of three V8 engines to cater to all needs.
Chevrolet built just 69 of these cars in 2023, and one of them is heading to auction with Mecum in January 2026.
With a value of well over $100,000, this particular Camaro could sell for some serious money.

What makes the 2023 COPO Camaros so special?
When built in 2023, there were three V8 engine options available for the COPO Camaros.
These were a 427ci 6.9-liter V8, a supercharged 350ci 5.7-liter engine, and a huge 632ci 10.4-liter V8.
This particular muscle car has the massive 0.4-liter engine under the hood, the flagship of the range.
The 10.4-liter engine produces a staggering 1,004hp and 872lb-ft of torque.

If set up correctly, the Camaro can really blast down the quarter-mile, like this Dodge Duragno.
And it will do so in less than eight seconds.
Mecum has stated that his car is number 62 of the 69 built.
It also comes with the optional rear parachute.
That underlines just how fast this car can be on a drag strip.
How much is the Camaro worth?
When new, the 2023 COPO Camaro retailed at around $130,000.
Thanks to the rarity and desirability, prices can now rise as high as $180,000 for these special muscle cars.
But don’t forget that it isn’t road legal – you only ever buy a car like this to blast it down the drag strip.
The engine was so large that Chevrolet was forced to make a bespoke hood for the Camaro.
This is why there is a pronounced bulge, added simply so the engine could fit inside the car.

With over 1,000hp crammed into the muscle car, we aren’t surprised a bespoke hood was needed!
While the Mecum listing says nothing about the mileage of the car, it’s unlikely to have many miles on it.
There is even a chance that it has never run down the drag strip, making it effectively brand new.
That adds even more value to this incredible machine.
