An amazing one-of-one 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO in factory white is up for sale at auction and is expected to go for more than $50 million.

Ferrari built just 36 250 GTOs between 1962 and 1964.

Of those, only one – dubbed the Bianco Speciale – was finished in white.

Now, the extra special one-off vehicle is set to go under the hammer, and experts reckon it could sell for a record sum.

The Bianco Speciale is the world’s only Ferrari 250 GTO in factory white

The Ferrari 250 GTO is considered to be one of the rarest cars in the world

With only 36 ever made, it’s not as though you can pop to your local dealership to get your hands on one.

However, next January, during Mecum’s Kissimmee showcase, a rarest-of-the-rare white Ferrari 250 GTO is set to be sold.

The Bianco Speciale is a one-of-one vehicle that is finished in a glistening shade of pure, pearly white.

Typically, Ferrari execs prefer a bright red color palette, but when British racing driver John Coombs commissioned the Ferrari 250 GTO he put in a request to have it painted a pearly white.

And that’s exactly what he got.

But the car wasn’t created to be a garage queen; it was put to the test on a number of race tracks, including Brands Hatch, where it was driven by Roy Salvadori, and at Goodwood’s RAC Tourist Trophy, with iconic F1 champ Graham Hill behind the wheel.

Fast-forward several decades, and the stunning 250 GTO in factory white is in search of a new owner.

The car has been placed on display during the 2025 Monterey Car Week, before going to auction in January

Due to its incredible rarity, the Bianco Speciale is expected to fetch an eye-watering sum and could set a new record for the Ferrari 250 GTO.

In November 2023, a 250 GT sold for $51 million, but it’s thought that this model could sell for even more due to its unusual color and incredible racing history.

The rarest Ferrari in the world

The Ferrari 250 GTO is more than just rare, it’s an absolute legend of the automotive world.

The car was fitted with a 3.0-liter V12 engine under its hood, capable of pushing out around 300 horsepower; an unbelievable amount of power for the 1960s.

Originally built to meet racing standards, the 250 GTO ended up becoming one of the most valuable collector cars in history.

And it seems as though the Bianco Speciale might just become a record-breaker when it goes under the hammer next January.
