A Saudi businessman bought a one-off Pagani Zonda Riviera for a fortune, never drove it – literally not even once – and then sold it for nearly twice the price a few years later.
The owner had originally bought this supercar at auction in 2019 for a hair under $6 million, and he’s now sold it for a little over $10 million.
That’s a 70 percent return over six years.
That’s certainly newsworthy, but we have to talk about the way this collector somehow managed to add almost zero miles to the odometer count.

The ‘standard’ Pagani Zonda spawned a very long list of few-offs and one-offs, which is what this is.
Based on the 760, it’s called the Pagani Zonda Riviera, and it’s easily recognizable thanks to the distinctive blue stripe that offsets the black-and-white color combo, and the eyebrow-shaped air scoops right below the headlights.

This is a 2006 model, and it’s had a few different owners since.
The last owner – the Saudi businessman in question – made a fortune with this car.

He just sold his hypercar for exactly $10.13 million after buying it for $5.88 million in 2019.
That’s certainly impressive, but we’re also interested in this car’s mileage, because what this businessman did is incredible.
This must be a world record
This Pagani Zonda Riviera was sold with 564 miles on the odometer, which is pretty standard for rare hypercars that sell at auction.
But the crazy part is 563 of those miles were added between 2006 and 2019, because this Saudi businessman somehow managed to add less than a mile in six years.

It is generally difficult to keep what they call ‘delivery mileage’ to two digits, let alone one digit, but this owner managed to put a grand total of 0.5 kilometers under its belt.
For people who can afford a Zonda like this one, that’s probably the distance between their master bedroom and the nearest bathroom.
It’s hard to even comprehend how he did it.

Even if you’re absolutely determined to never drive it, you still have to load the car on to a truck and then get it off the truck, and then drive it into a garage, and so on and so forth.
And then we’re presuming maintenance was involved.
We’ve no idea how this owner managed to do all of that while only putting less than one kilometer on the clock.
But, clearly, it paid off.
