When it comes to muscle cars, many of the offerings served their purpose as they hit the open road.
But, after the hype lessened, the cars seemed to slowly but surely be left by owners.
One owner, however, has recently uncovered his 1968 Pontiac Firebird after it was discovered nestled in a container.

“I bought this car and stored it in a container for over eight years, and I think now it’s time to sell it,” stated the owner, who listed the 1968 Pontiac on Craigslist for $19,500.
They continued to explain that they painted the car years ago and installed new hydraulics, too.
The car needs a top, but the owner explained that they have some parts already.

“I have all the interior parts in storage, including new top material,” they stated, alongside detailing that the car has solid body floors.
The car is powered by a 350-V8 engine with a manual transmission and 84,729 miles on the clock.

It seems that the car really does have a second shot at life and would be the perfect addition to a gearhead’s collection of passion projects.
“I love firebirds, and this one I kept, I drove it in the car container when I parked it inside, this is a project,” the listing concluded.
The Pontiac Firebird is receiving an influx of rediscoveries
The Pontiac Firebird is an iconic muscle car that was common on the roads in the late 1900s, especially in the US.
Sadly though, after many of the Pontiacs served their purpose, many owners simply forgot about them, leaving the cars to collect dust and grime with their engines wasting away.
But, with hope of a new home for the bright blue 1968 model, others have also resurfaced, begging for a second shot at hitting the open road.
In fact, after finding a 1987 Firebird hidden deep in the woods, one brave man attempted to try and run it after it had been out of action for over two decades.
Another Pontiac was uncovered after 40 years behind a barn door, and it ended up being a 1979 10th anniversary edition with just 6,000 miles on the clock.
