Audi CEO confirmed a new supercar inspired by the Audi TT is coming, and it’ll be loosely based on the Concept C unveiled a while back.
It’ll be a halo car, somewhere between the aforementioned TT and the R8, but there’s both good news and bad news.
The good news is the car will look like the concept, which is great.
But the bad news lies under the hood.

The new Concept C will be the automaker’s new flagship supercar
Not long ago, Audi unveiled the Concept C, a flagship concept car inspired by the Audi TT.
At the time, it wasn’t clear whether Audi would put it into production or not, but apparently, the verdict is in, and the answer is an emphatic yes.
The company’s CEO, Gernot Döllner, has officially confirmed that a new sports car is headed for production.
If everything goes to plan, it’ll be here at some point in 2027.

The final production model will also look like the concept car.
According to the brand’s Chief Creative Officer, Massimo Frascella, the ‘concept represents roughly 87 percent’ of the final production design.
And that’s good news because the Concept C looked incredible.

The bad news – or good news, it really depends on your perspective – is that it will indeed be 100 percent electric.
Apparently, Audi isn’t backtracking, like Porsche did, and its new flagship will be an EV.

It’ll be a lot bigger than the Audi TT, and electric
The first thing worth noting about the Concept C is that it is significantly larger than the TT.
The Concept C is 4520mm long, whereas the TT is 4100-4200mm, depending on the model.

At the front, the concept introduces a rectangular take on Audi’s grille, probably to give it a fresh look in line with the new electric era.
The four-ring badge, fortunately, is still there.
Audi is getting rid of that for some models, but not here, and we’re certainly happy about that.
The cabin carries echoes of the original TT, as well as other concepts such as the 2000 Rosemeyer.
Also, and once again we’d like to say ‘fortunately’, the interior also features rotary dials with physical buttons along with digital ones.

The Concept C was fully drivable when it was launched, and apparently, the future production model will feature a similar iteration of the same powertrain.
We can expect a power output north of 400 or 500hp.
