An American couple has turned an old, abandoned school bus into an amazing RV packed with everything they need.
From the most impressive selection of spices you’ll ever see to a collection of die cast toy tractors, the attention to detail is mind-boggling.

Josh and Emily, who both hail from South Dakota, rebuilt the bus themselves over a period of about two years.
Emily describes the bus as a living project, saying they make improvements “in short increments” every weekend.
They call it ‘Aurora The Adventure Bus’.
This is more than just a holiday vehicle as they’ve been living on the bus with their cat for about a year now.

The first thing you notice is the dashboard, which was revamped to make it look more modern, and decorated with some nice potted plants.
They even found a way to fit the cat house in there.

To the left, you’ve got two televisions and a long kitchen counter top that (nearly) covers the entire length of the bus.
There’s a sink, a stove top and an oven, overhead cupboards and an amazing collection of spices, condiments and seasonings.
To the right, you’ve got a sofa, a large fridge, and another pantry.

At the back, right behind the kitchen, you’ll find the bedroom, a bathroom with a shower and Josh’s workstation.
And then there’s the pièce de résistance, the couple’s tractor collection.

The Aurora is weatherproof too.
There are two duct fans that work independently, two diesel heaters and a 20-gallon diesel tank under the floor.
So the temperature inside the bus is mild when it’s cold outside and vice versa.

Josh and Emily both work as engineers, and they work remotely, which allows them to live in the bus.
They occasionally drive back to South Dakota to spend time with the family but other than that, they plan to keep traveling with the ultimate mission to visit every US state.
Aurora has her own Instagram page too, you can check it out here.
