A car spotter asked on a Facebook group what Lamborghini supercar he had spotted in the wild; however, the answer had been staring him in the face on the license plate.

Given how some supercars can look quite similar these days, it’s not unusual for people to ask what a specific model is online.

For some, it’s hard to tell as cars like those from McLaren share a lot of similar design features and styling cues.

But this Facebook user actually had the answer staring them in the face – as it was in fact on the license plate at the rear of the car.

What was this Lamborghini supercar?

The man was from Australia and posted his photo in the ‘Exotic Car Spotting Australia’ Facebook group.

In his caption, the anonymous member said, “Spotted this the other day, what is it? Lamborghini what?”

There is a very high chance the person in question was making a joke, given the license plate.

But the supercar in question was a Lamborghini Revuelto.

Compare it to other images of the Revuelto, and it is clear that it was the supercar they had spotted.

As a new car and Lamborghini’s first proper plug-in hybrid supercar, seeing one is quite an occasion.

That is, of course, if you know what you are looking at!

Unsurprisingly, there were quite a few in the comments section who poked fun at the post.

The Facebook user received a lot of amusing replies

With the license plate reading ‘RVELT-0’ for Revuelto, many other users engaged in humorous replies.

One comment said that the car was a Datsun 120Y, which it does look similar to if you close your eyes.

Another posted the amusing comment ‘Lamborghini Cantaffordardo’, of course referencing the high price tag.

For reference, if you were to buy the Revuelto in the United States, you would pay at least $600,000.

You get plenty of performance with that money, however.

Those lucky enough to own the supercar get a 6.5-liter V12 engine making 814hp and 535lb-ft of torque.

The car also has an electric motor, adding 187hp and 248lb-ft of torque.

That gives a combined 1,001hp and 783lb-ft of torque.

But that power doesn’t really matter if you don’t know what the car is!
