The biggest displacement supercar in America, the Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06, is now an incredible bargain.

You might not think a modern, super-powerful version of the famous Chevy could be picked up for a bargain price.

But for much less than you might imagine, you can pick up the Corvette C6 Z06 for less than many modern sports cars.

So if buying a bargain supercar is something you’re interested in, perhaps it’s time you gave one of the best-ever versions of the Corvette a chance.

The Chevy C6 Corvette Z06 has the largest displacement of any American V8 car ever made.

That is because it has a 7.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 under the hood.

To put that into context, it has remained the only American supercar to have such a high-displacement engine.

This is the LS7 engine, hand-built at the General Motors (GM) Performance Build Center.

In total, the LS7 engine produced 505hp and 470lb-ft of torque.

Equally impressive is the 7,000rpm redline for the V8.

Chevy used lightweight components in the engine to keep the weight down, such as titanium connecting rods and intake valves.

Elsewhere, an aluminum frame, magnesium cradle, plus lightweight composite body panels kept things light.

Despite its big V8, the C6 Z06 weighed just 3,132lbs in total.

Despite all that power and all those features, the C6 Z06 has become quite a bargain.

According to Classic.com, the current average value of a second-hand Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06 is just $47,058.

However, some have sold for as little as $26,000, which highlights just how good a deal some buyers can get.

Those prices put it in a very competitive position compared to other sports cars of the time and from recent years.

Compare that to the current Corvette C8 Z06, which will set buyers back over $100,000.

Most people looking to buy a C6 Z06 likely won’t have the money to spend on the latest Chevy Corvette Z06.

But with so much power available and with such a big V8, why would you look any further than the Corvette Z6 Z06?
