The first unit of the swanky new BMW Skytop has been delivered to an Italian entrepreneur with a taste for racing.
Limited to just 50 units, the new BMW Skytop is one of the nicest sports cars to ever roll off the production line at the Germany-based plant.
Crafted by hand, each of the cars is estimated to be worth over half a million dollars and is one of the most elusive models the brand has ever made.
Now, the first one is on the road, with its first journey being a nice mountainside trip through Liechtenstein and Switzerland to the grand Italian City of Turin.

Italian entrepreneur ‘privileged’ to take the BMW Skytop #001
Previewed by the Supercar Blondie team at Villa d’Este back in 2024, the BMW Skytop is a medley of three of the most masterful cars the brand ever made.
Taking components of the Z8, 503, and 8-Series, including the 4.4L twin-turbo V8 powertrain of the M8 Competition, the Skytop beat famed concepts like the GINA to the production line.
Having entered production in October 2024, there’s an estimated 12-month wait for the first deliveries to start being made, and now chassis number 001 has kicked things off with a bang.
At a ceremony in the German city of Munich, the keys to the hand-built car were handed to Italian entrepreneur and racing driver Andrea Levy.

Taking to Instagram, he revealed it was a privilege to be the first owner of such a car, and it will now be blessing the old cobbled Roman roads of Turin, Italy.
“The delivery of my BMW Skytop at BMW Welt in Munich was just amazing,” he said.
“Meeting the people who developed this unique concept and turned it into a small production of 50 pieces was truly a privilege.
“The first ever BMW Skytop built is now coming to Italy, in Torino, and will join the 777 collection.”

What else does Andrea Levy own?
The coveted #001 Skytop will join an already-bursting garage of sports cars owned by Andrea Levy.
His fabled ‘777 collection’ boasts classics like a 1976 Lancia Gamma Coupé Pininfarina and newer supercars.
Several Ferraris, Lamborghinis, a Porsche 911 GT3 RS, and a Dallara Stradale will welcome the Skytop with open arms.
