BMW Motorrad has just released an epic concept of a futuristic superbike.

The brand’s bike division already builds some of the best motorcycles in the world.

Earlier this year saw the unveiling of the R 1300 R as the ultimate roadster.

And now, BMW has unveiled the ‘Titan’ – the ultimate superbike concept based on the R 1300 R.

Motorrad division reveals the ‘Titan’ concept

Earlier this year, BMW’s Motorrad division unveiled its latest two-wheeled offering.

The marque released the R 1300 R as its answer to the ultimate roadster motorcycle.

In case you were wondering, this latest bike comes with a twin-cylinder, four-stroke Boxer engine.

And that engine produces 145hp on a machine that weighs just 527lbs.

Naturally, BMW saw the result of its creation and figured it needed to be more extreme.

So it decided, as a passion project, to work on this – the R 1300 R Titan.

You would easily be forgiven for thinking this bike might have come from the set of Tron.

This Titan is a much more hardcore, extreme version of the standard, newly released bike.

For one thing, BMW Motorrad engineers decided to install a custom Akrapovic exhaust system.

There is also a much longer, meaner-looking swingarm that carries a menacing presence.

Oh, and did we mention that the people at BMW Motorrad fitted a nitrous oxide canister?

Yes, the engineers actually fitted a nitrous oxide to a roadster motorcycle – because why not?

The BMW R 1300 R Titan is one of the most unique motorcycles of the last few years.

It can only be hoped that it actually gets a shot at a production run – because it is seriously cool.

BMW produces market-leading motorcycles

As some two-wheeled fans will know, Motorrad already makes some market-leading bikes – even if they don’t come with nitrous oxide.

The R 1250 GS Adventure, for example, is one of the best touring-enduro bikes money can buy.

Then, there is the S1000R – widely considered one of the best super-naked bikes in the world.

Of course, the S1000R represents the naked version of the big brother – the S1000RR.

In the world of the superbike, the BMW S1000RR is truly one of the big hitters.

In fact, the S1000RR has been one of the best-selling motorcycles in the world for years.

Its homologation version, the M1000RR, currently competes in the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship.

Under the piloting of Turkish ace Toprak Razgatlioglu, it won the championship in 2024.

Bike fans will be waiting with bated breath to see if the Titan concept ever sees the light of production.

It certainly seems like it would be a home run blast for the brand.
