BMW has just launched a new clothing line, and two new cars, a BMW M1 and a BMW XM, with a brand called Kith.

The good news is you can buy the BMW XM and of course the capsule collection.

The bad news is the BMW XM, the vehicle out of the two you can buy, is limited to only 47 units.

The really bad news is the BMW M1 is just a one-off, and won’t be sold to the public.

The new BMW XM by Kith is a limited-edition, six-figure SUV

BMW teamed up with Kith, a lifestyle brand that does a bit of everything but specializes in fashion, to launch the new collection.

It includes leather jackets, suede pieces, hoodies, rugby shirts, duffel bags, driving gloves, and the list goes on.

They also launched a new car, the BMW XM by Kith.

The engine is still the same plug-in-hybrid as the ‘standard’ XM, producing 738 horsepower, and giving the car a 0-60mph time of just 3.4 seconds.

This is a not a bad thing.

The XM, lest we forget, was BMW’s most powerful when it was launched, even before the arrival of the Label Red edition.

But, as you can imagine, BMW and Kith did make a few changes when it comes to the aeshetic properties of the car.

Finished in Frozen Techno Violet or Frozen Black, with matching interior, the car features ‘Kith’ badges and logos just about everywhere.

They even used it as part of the upholstery motif.

Production is limited to 47 units, but the price hasn’t been revealed yet.

The one thing we know for sure is it is going to be a six-figure price tag.

Meet the M1, the one they are not going to make

In order to celebrate the partnership, BMW and Kith, along with designer Ronnie Fieg, launched an M1 that looks absolutely gorgeous.

Finished in Techno Violet, the same hue used for the aforementioned XM, the car was restored and customized throughout, including the interior.

Once again, nothing was done to the engine, which is still the same 3.5-liter inline-six, still putting out 277 horsepower.

The BMW M1 is an icon, even Paul Walker had one.

There’s currently one that’s up for auction at SBX Cars, and it will almost certainly fetch over half a million dollars.

This is because, unfortunately, these cars are becoming rare.

Only 453 were produced, and most of those units have either been lost, damaged, or they end up forgotten and neglected in remote barns.

Pity.
