BMW’s XM is about to take the world by storm.
The car, which is slated to go into production at the end of this year, will compete against the most popular luxury SUVs on the market; the Lamborghini Urus and Mercedes G Wagen.
Expected to start around the $125,000 mark, it will be BMW’s most expensive production car.
And there’s good reason for that because this car is truly in a league of its own.

BMW appears to have gone back to the drawing board and designed almost everything in the XM from scratch.
For starters, BMW put weighted logos on the rims just like Rolls Royce, meaning they will stay upright when driving.

At the front, the kidney-shaped grilles are the centerpiece of the car.
And they’ve been surrounded by lights, giving them an even greater presence.
At the back, the SUV has twin twilight exhausts, and the taillights swoop in a curved motion from the back to the sides and continue down to serve as reflectors.
The logo has also been moved from the centre of the car to the top corners of the rear windscreen.
This mimics those on the BMW M1, the iconic mid-engine sports car BMW produced more than 40 years ago.
While the exterior of the car is eye-catching, it’s got nothing on the interior.
The designers really worked overtime when it came to the inside because the rear seat is covered in turquoise velvet.
The velvet is paired with green leather finishes and, of course, gold carpet.
Oh, and the backseat is now one big lounge chair rather than individual car seats.
Meanwhile, the roof is something else entirely.
BMW is really giving the Rolls Royce starlight roof a run for its money because the XM has an illuminated sculptural prism roof with ambient mood lighting.
The XM looks like a completely different car when you move from the backseat to the front.
Unlike the back, the front is fitted with classic vintage brown leather.
It’s almost as if two completely different designers were responsible for each end of the SUV.
To go with the ultra-lux vibe in the front, there’s a massive curved display screen and the dashboard is covered in a carbon fiber / copper weave.
While much of the interior design is expected to be different in the production model, the backseat lounge chair and geometric roof are rumored to remain as they are in the concept.
In fact, up to 90 percent of what BMW presented with the concept car is expected to go to production, including the boxy exterior shape of the SUV.
