Making sure timing is perfected even in the harshest of conditions, this Boeing 747 pilot cut through 45mph crosswinds to land at Gatwick Airport, London, seconds after another plane took off.
Most of the time that you spend in a plane seems to be a pretty smooth ride. Hours could go by, and you scarcely would have noticed, thanks to autopilot.
But when it comes to getting the landing right, pilots really show off their talent.
In this typically miserable and harsh British weather, one Boeing 747 pilot had to pull out every trick he had to keep the huge plane on track and touch down as if he’d landed on a cloud.
