A supercar is often the most desired vehicle for gearheads, and one man from Boston is going to extreme lengths in order to get his hands on one.

He aims to call a super-fast car his own, but to reach that goal, lots of hard work will be needed.

The car enthusiast came up with what he says is the ‘dumbest idea ever’ to try and make his dreams a reality.

But after getting to work, it became evident that there was one huge problem.

This guy has one big dream: to buy himself a supercar

Creator Captain Crankshaft is no stranger to experimenting with cars, but now he may have taken on his biggest challenge yet.

You see, it’s all an aid in securing a supercar, but he was faced with a challenge. He couldn’t buy one outright; instead, he had to hustle to get there, so he came up with a big idea.

He came up with his ‘dumbest idea ever’, to flip cars and then supposedly sell them for more than they’re actually worth.

Over on YouTube, he previously documented the first part of his journey, where he flipped an Acura, and now he was on to the second phase.

This one is a Mercedes station wagon.

Explaining that the previous owner was so keen to get rid of the Mercedes that he dropped it at the creator’s door, things seemed too good to be true.

Unfortunately, this seemed to be the case as the car needed more than a quick wash before it could be sold..

After popping open the hood and investigating, the creator discovered a glaring issue.

“That’s usually a sign that the car is minutes away from exploding into thousands of tiny pieces,” said the creator.

It turned out that the car was ‘completely screwed up’ and the biggest issue was that the air suspension failed, or so he thought.

He later discovered that the car had no airbag within its shell or interior, and someone had installed the suspension from a different car.

Luckily, after working with lots of rust on the chassis, he managed to pull out the suspension and install a new one instead.

Other work on the car was also carried out, such as a new front strut and even new tires to give the car an extra upgraded look, and adjust the ride height of the vehicle.

After the work was complete, he revealed on YouTube that he was listing the Mercedes for a sum of $5,900.

He initially bought the car for $2,600, so this profit was impressive.

However, to really see if his hard work paid off, the creator is revealing the results one car at a time…
