From the Crawler to a $260m 'sky yacht', these are 5 of the craziest creations from Brabus

There are a lot of German tuning companies out there, but Brabus has been around longer than most.

Arguably, it’s one of the craziest as well.

Not only does it modify cars, but it has marine and aviation divisions as well.

From a doorless, windowless dune-basher to a $260m ‘yacht’ for the skies, these are five some of Brabus’ craziest creations through the years.

5. Brabus Crawler – $840k

We have to start with the $840k Crawler, partly because it is one of Brabus’ most recent models, and also because it is completely bonkers.

For starters, it doesn’t have any doors or windows – even a windshield.

However, it does have some big, chunky tires and some ultra-cool quilted leather seats.

And of course, it also has a lot of power – 900hp to be exact.

Our team had the chance to drive it, and you can read more about it here or watch below.

4. Lufthansa x Brabus Explorer – $260 million

‘The Explorer’ is a massive plane that Brabus developed with Lufthansa Technik.

The companies actually call it a ‘sky yacht‘, and it’s mega expensive.

It costs $260 million and is designed for billionaires who really love their toys.

In addition to the amazing lounge and the lavish bedrooms, it also houses a garage that you can use for your motorbikes.

In fact, it actually comes with two ultra-rare Brabus motorbikes.

The bikes alone are worth $4 million.

3. Brabus Shadow 900 – $753,000

One of Brabus’ most recent creations comes from Brabus Marine – its boat-making counterpart.

This is the Shadow 900 Black-Ops, and the name is a reference to the amount of power it delivers – 900hp.

The plush leather upholstery for the cabin nicely offsets the blacked-out exterior.

And, this being a Brabus, it has a sleek design that’ll make it stand out even in the world’s busiest ports.

It comes priced from a cool $753,000, but by Brabus standards, that’s almost reasonable.

2. Brabus G63 6×6 – $1 million

The G63 6×6 might be one of the most ridiculous Mercedes models ever, but it’s undoubtedly fun.

And Brabus decided to make it even more ridiculously fun by giving a lot more power – 700hp, which is 200hp more than standard.

You can’t really have a list of Brabus’ craziest creations without a G-Wagen on it, can you?

In addition to that, the company also replaced the standard body panels with carbon fiber ones.

And of course, it gave it some cool wheels and a fancy interior, too.

1. Brabus Mercedes-McLaren SLR – $790,000

Naturally for us, a supercar had to be at the top of the list.

Back in the early 2000s, McLaren and Mercedes teamed up to create one of the most outstanding supercars ever – the SLR.

It came in with gullwing doors and a lot of power. But, of course, Brabus thought it would be interesting to give it even more.

Thanks to a custom made exhaust system, the Brabus SLR puts out 660hp.

The exterior tweaks are admittedly quite restrained, but then, the SLR is already a brilliant looking thing in the first place.

Brabus did, however, upgrade the interior with bright red leather upholstery that is utterly unmissable.

Spectacular, isn’t it?

And, of course, there was a convertible version that you could order with a matching Smart car – for when you needed something more sensible to drive – just to dial up the craziness a bit more.
