This Brit decided to take an Aston Martin Vantage for an epic weekend trip to Scotland to create an iconic James Bond Skyfall photoshoot.

He packed his suit, booked a videographer, and headed for the Scottish Highlands with one goal: recreate that famous Skyfall moment.

The rugged scenery, the mist rolling over the mountains, the cinematic mood; he wanted all of it.

And, against all odds, he ended up getting more than he bargained for.

The James Bond Skyfall photoshoot wasn’t cheap

The adventure began the moment he landed in Scotland and picked up his rental: a sharp Aston Martin Vantage, the modern Bond-approved alternative to the iconic DB5.

There was one small catch: the license plate read ‘006,’ which was frustrating close to giving him a ‘license to kill’, but not quite.

TikTok commenters quickly asked why he didn’t rent an Aston Martin DB5 instead, given that it is perhaps the ultimate James Bond car.

However, he shut that down with the most reasonable explanation possible: the owner wouldn’t hand over a £2.5 million ($3.31 million) classic for a road trip recreation.

Fair enough.

The recreation met a couple of challenges

Suit on, camera rolling, and wind doing its best to ruin his tie, he pushed forward into full 007 mode.

Traversing wet grass, soft mud, and rocky paths in dress shoes was a stunt even Daniel Craig would salute, but the determination paid off.

As he approached the film’s famous location, something unexpected happened.

By posing as the iconic British character, he became a bit of a celebrity himself.

Tourists started pointing, whispering, and eventually lining up to take photos with ‘James Bond,’ complete with the Vantage positioned perfectly behind him.

He even crashed a wedding shoot, although the couple didn’t seem too unhappy, considering they got to pose in front of his Aston Martin for some photos of their own.

After the impromptu meet-and-greets, slippery hill climbs, and accidental wedding cameo, he finally stood in the exact cinematic spot from Skyfall.

With the moody Highlands behind him and the Aston Martin by his side, the resulting shot is almost a perfect match.

Money well spent? We’d say so.
