Most hypercars are bought to be preserved, not driven.
Low miles and long periods of storage are part of the deal at this price point.
But this particular Bugatti Chiron hasn’t followed the usual pattern.
Instead of being parked away, it’s been used like a normal car.

This $3 million Bugatti Chiron has already gone through $150,000 in tires
The car in question is an early Bugatti Chiron, worth $3 million, that began life as a factory test and demonstration vehicle shortly after the model launched in 2016.
From the beginning, it was used regularly.
It was driven by Bugatti staff, journalists, and potential buyers, and remained in service for years rather than being retired early.
Over time, that use added up to more than 108,000 miles, averaging roughly 18,000 miles a year.

And that kind of mileage isn’t free on a car like this.
Running costs have been substantial.
Tire wear alone is estimated to exceed $150,000 due to the Chiron’s bespoke Michelin tires, while oil changes across roughly 109,000 miles are said to total around $275,000.
Fuel and routine servicing add significantly more.

Even so, the car reportedly shows no unusual wear.
The interior remains in good condition, the drivetrain is still healthy, and it continues to present like a properly maintained luxury car.
Why this Chiron’s mileage looks absurd next to other hypercars
Most hypercars barely stretch their legs.
Even when they’re capable of being driven, they usually aren’t.
That’s why this example stands out.
It’s believed to be the highest-mileage Bugatti Chiron in existence.

Bugatti has always claimed the model was designed to be driven, not worshipped – a message reinforced by CEO Mate Rimac, who regularly drives Chirons and tests prototypes on public roads (as seen in the clip above).
And this one walks that walk.
Yes, it’s consumed $150,000 in tires and hundreds of thousands more in upkeep.
But it’s also shown that beneath the spectacle and the price tag, the Chiron is massively overengineered.
Used hard, used often, and still standing.
