The last available Bugatti powered by the W16 engine is heading to auction this week.
The Bugatti Chiron Profilée will be auctioned by RM Sotheby’s on Wednesday, February 1.
It will be the very last opportunity to get your hands on a Bugatti hyper sports car with the iconic W16 engine.

The Bugatti Chiron Profilée was created thanks to customer demand for something more radical than the Chiron Sport and slightly less extreme than the Chiron Pur Sport.
With the production of the Chiron completely sold out during the Profilée’s development, it wasn’t introduced as a full production model.
But Bugatti said rather than hiding it away, it decided to deliver one single example.

“Unprecedented demand for the Chiron models meant that, despite all the developments and tests we had already done, we could not bring the Profilée to production,” Bugatti Automobiles President Christophe Piochon said.
“But how could we not finish such a beautifully designed and engineered car?”
Bugatti Chiron Profilée design
Even though it looks like a Chiron, the Bugatti Profilée was actually redesigned from scratch.
It’s finished with bespoke aerodynamic developments including the only sweeping fixed tail in Bugatti’s modern history.
The tail was designed to ensure stability and control when you reach 380 km/h.
And of course it helps with downforce.
In line with the Profilée’s status as an automotive solitaire, designers also gave it a one-of-a-kind silvery blue paint color called Argent Atlantique.
Complimenting this is a Bleu Royal Carbon tint over the top of exposed carbon fiber on the car’s lower section.
The Profilée also has a tailor-made wheel design inspired by the luxury carmaker’s famous horseshoe grille.
Power
The Profilée is powered by Bugatti’s 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16.
It can go from 0-100km/h in just 2.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 380km/h.
Due to the new aerodynamic design, its top speed is 30km/h higher than the Pur Sport’s.
Auction
The car will be auctioned by RM Sotheby’s at the famous Carrousel du Louvre in Paris.
Whoever wins the bidding war will not only own a one-of-a-kind piece of Bugatti history, they will own the last new Bugatti with a W16 engine.
