Bugatti brought together the 99th Mistral and 500th Chiron in the desert to mark the end of their runs.

It was a fitting way to bid farewell to two iconic cars.

The two cars were shown side by side, taking in the views of a desert sun setting on the horizon.

Only by driving off into the sunset together could this have been more perfect.

It’s the end of an era – the Mistral and the Chiron are wrapping up production

The saying ‘All good things must come to an end’ has never been more apt.

The end of the Mistral and the Chiron is upon us.

With the last Mistral rolling off the production line and the successor for the Chiron already lined up for production, it feels like an appropriate time to turn the page.

But before we bid a fond farewell to these iconic cars, Bugatti decided to put together a stunning photoshoot.

Bugatti took a Mistral and Chiron out into the desert for one last hurrah

Out in El Mirage, an unincorporated part of the Mojave Desert, the Mistral and the Chiron stood together for several breath-taking shots.

The Mistral was the 99th, while the Chiron was the 500th.

This makes them both the last of their kind.

Accompanying images shared across social media, Bugatti wrote: “Beneath the setting desert sun, two BUGATTI legends come together.

“The 99th MISTRAL and the 500th CHIRON – the end of two chapters and the beginning of a lasting legacy.”

The pair certainly looked regal, as they faced off into the distance, watching the orange desert sky.

Bugatti fans were certainly moved by the display.

“The end of the W16 era, and what a way to sign off,” one admirer wrote.

“Truly iconic,” another said.

And there was so many fire emojis that we’re surprised a fire department wasn’t called.

Evidently, people continue to be dazzled by these two models.

What’s in the future for Bugatti?

There’s a lot of exciting things in store for Bugatti.

As the brand transitions from a W16 to a V16, the company is casting its net wide.

The Bugatti Tourbillon, which is expected early next year, comes with 1,800 horsepower, 16 cylinders, and eight exhaust tips.

From hybrid powertrains to the integration of AI, there’s a lot to get excited about.
