BYD Yangwang U7 guides ball through maze on its roof

BYD has shown off how impressive its Yangwang U7 is by completing a marble run maze on its rooftop via a smartphone app.

The Chinese marque wanted to demonstrate the nifty capabilities of its Disus-Z suspension system.

But rather than showing the vehicle taking on bumps, potholes and rugged terrain they decided to enlist the help of a toy maze.

Well, that’s one way of doing it.

The BYD Yangwang U7 has a slick suspension system

BYD has been making some impressive motors, including the Yangwang U9 that can dance, jump over potholes and completed an uncertified Nürburgring Nordschleife lap time of seven minutes and 17.9 seconds

And it seems the Yangwang U7 is capable of similar unusual, yet very impressive, feats.

In a clip shared by BYD, the U7 had a maze run strapped to its roof and the vehicle was then connected to a smartphone app.

Via the app – and thanks to the U7’s top notch Disus-Z suspension system – a man was able to guide a ball right through the maze by simply moving his phone.

As he tilted and turned the phone, the Yangwang U7 copied the moves until the ball completed the maze.

How cool is that?

The U7 is set to be an an impressive vehicle

The BYD Yangwang U7 could be a serious rival to the Tesla Model S Plaid

The sleek-looking sedan, which is set to go into mass production this year, will be available with either a battery electric or plug-in hybrid powertrain.

The Yangwang U7 can do 0 to 100km (0-62mph) in just 2.9 seconds, has a top speed of 270km/h (167mph), and produces up to 1,282 horsepower.

The carmaker says its huge 135.4kWh battery is able to provide up to 720km (447 miles) range and that it is  0.195 drag coefficient – the lowest of any volume production car.

Alongside all of those impressive stats, it can also be used to navigate a small ball through a maze via a phone – and really, what more can you ask for?
