The Brunei Royal Family has a car collection that is the envy of the world, worth up to $5 billion, and a Californian YouTuber recently asked if he could go and take a look.
Larry Chen, one of the best photographers and videographers on the internet, recently asked Price Jefri, brother of the Sultan of Brunei, if he could see the collection.
The car collection is one of the finest in the world, with up to 7,000 cars, but each member of the family has their own collection, boosting that number.
Getting a chance to see just some of these cars is a very rare privilege.

How many cars are in the Brunei Royal Family collection?
Prince Jefri, brother of the Sultan of Brunei, is the gatekeeper of the whole car collection.
After meeting the brother, Chen spoke to Prince Abdul Mateen and asked if he could photograph his personal collection.
Initially, the answer was a no, but it wasn’t a firm no.
Chen was able to find out where the vast majority of the cars were located, in various buildings.

Military personnel guard the entrance to the garages.
With so many cars in so many locations, it would be a challenge for anyone to work out where to go.
Some cars, though, have been sold, with one local dealership selling ex-Royal Family cars.
What is actually in the famous collection?
Working out what is actually in the Sultan’s collection is not an easy task.
With at least 7,000 cars, it is hard to pinpoint the exact models.
Images did leak recently that showcase some of the cars inside the collection.
What we do know is that there is a huge selection of Rolls-Royce and Bentley luxury cars.
Ferraris make up a large portion of the fleet, including the epic F90s, of which six were built in total.
Leaked images from 2001 showed some of the cars, such as the custom Bentley Monte Carlo and Bentley Dominator.
As Chen found out at the dealership, some cars are left outside if they are not as desired.
Chen, however, did get to look at the cars belonging to the Princess of the Brunei Royal family, the sister of Prince Jefri.
These cars, however, have suffered from a lack of maintenance, with several left outside.
For now, though, the main bulk of the collection remains an enigma.
