This California man bought a retired Ford police car ‘unicorn’ and has already noticed a difference in how people are acting around him.
Youtuber Mark Brenner picked himself up a 2020 Ford Explorer police interceptor with low miles.
Besides some mild tailgate damage, it was in great condition.
But as he was driving home, he noticed everyone was driving slowly around him as they thought he was a cop.

This California man bought a retired Ford police car and noticed a big difference
Sure, the back of this car was the roomiest – for obvious reasons – but there was a lot to like about this Ford police car.
It had pretty low mileage for a start.

This had around 300 idle hours on it, which is very low – a lot of the used interceptors he’d seen had racked up anywhere from 7,000 to 13,000.
An idle hour is how long the engine has been running whilst the car was stationary.
Why did the car have such a low one? Because it was mainly used as a test vehicle, and didn’t see much active duty.
Nevertheless, it looked like the real deal from the outside.

As he was driving the vehicle home, he couldn’t help but notice something about his fellow drivers on the highway.
“Now it’s getting kind of annoying…about half an hour in on my drive, and everyone’s doing below the speed limit,” he remarked.
While he didn’t state this outright, the implication of why this was seemed pretty clear.
A viewer spelt it out for everyone in the comments: “Everyone is driving slow because they think you’re going to pull them over!”
Was he happy with the car overall?
All in all, Brenner seemed pretty satisfied with the car.
One thing that he pointed out is that it didn’t smell like a lot of other ex-cop cars he’d seen.
“It does not smell like human bodily fluids,” he declared.

“This one smells pretty good inside actually.”
What more could you want?
Nothing worse than a gross car, as YouTube cleaners know all too well, whether dealing with a Dodge Ram or a Tesla Model 3.
