A California man has revealed how buying his used 2007 Nissan Altima with 284,000 miles has saved him from debt.
YouTuber Keep Going said that his ‘beater car’ helped save him $30,000, which is not an insignificant amount of money by any means.
He explained that he feels no one should get themselves into debt just to buy a brand new car, and that older cars with lots of miles on the clock are still a good option.
It makes us wonder why there aren’t more of us saving money this way!

Why does the YouTuber think his used 2007 Nissan Altima is a better option?
The YouTuber admits that he got lucky when dropping on this car that had high mileage but still worked.
Over 284,000 miles is certainly a lot, yet this car still appears to drive great.
One of the things the YouTuber says is great is that the car won’t depreciate compared to most modern cars.

Plus, he doesn’t have any monthly payments on his Nissan as he paid for the car up front in one go.
While it might have nearly 300,000 miles on the clock, it’s a car that isn’t in terrible condition.
It is clean inside, bar a few scratches and signs of wear, and most things seem to work.
The YouTuber got a great deal on his Nissan
The YouTuber admits he did get lucky with the car.
It was sold to his dad, who then sold it to him for a good deal, which he describes as a ‘blessing.’
In total, he says to buy it and fix some issues on the Altima, which has cost around $3,000.
That is still very good, even if there are a couple of little niggles he is still working on fixing.
Being a Nissan, it should still be very reliable and last for a long time still.
Cars can feel like a burden when it comes to cost, as this Nissan Pathfinder owner found out.
In general, cars seem to be getting more and more expensive.
Yet this car has saved the YouTuber a huge amount of money and stopped him from stressing about it.
