A Californian woman abandoned her Dodge Dart in Oregon, but 40 years later, someone found it.

The car managed to survive several significant events, including a fire in Phoenix.

However, it does have some aspects that may need more than a lick of paint to fix.

Eager car fans can purchase the car Dodge online, but should be prepared to put a shift in to bring it back to life.

Dodge cars are highly regarded among gearheads worldwide.

The company is known for creating both muscle cars and sports cars.

From the Daytona to the Charger, many models fetch large sums of money, especially when they are rediscovered in a barn, for example.

In one such case, a man found what was most likely the only remaining 1978 Dodge Magnum Force GT in existence in Michigan.

Plus, famous faces love the vehicles too, including Shaquille O’Neal, who has a custom Dodge Hellcat.

Some models, though, are more popular than others, as proven by this certain car that is begging to be snapped up.

This 1974 Dodge Dart was reportedly abandoned in Oregon after a previous owner experienced quite a series of events.

The seller who posed the listing claims that the car was ‘driven to Oregon by an older woman from Pasadena who had her license taken away some time after she moved here.’

It was reportedly stored in a garage for 30 to 40 years, but now, once someone snaps it up, it will be back in business.

The six-cylinder gold sedan is said to run smoothly and drive well, and has undergone some recent updates, including a new radiator, water pump, and brake work.

However, across its life span, it has encountered some issues – it survived the ‘Almeda fire’ in Phoenix, and despite some heat damage, the interior is still in good condition.

But – if someone decides to buy it – it will need some work done, with the current owner stating: “All those jobs need to be done at the same time, and I don’t want to spend any more time and money on the car.”

So, new nylon bushings will be needed on the wipers, and the speedometer and fuel gauge will need to be inspected too, as well as some new paint.

All that being said, though, the Dodge has a mileage of 46,445 and is currently listed on eBay for a starting price of $1,000, so it’s not all bad.

It’s a full circle moment for the car, but perhaps also for Dodge, too.

We bet you didn’t know that there was a certain Dodge model that was only built for women.
