California woman buys the world's cheapest Porsche 911 GT3 but has a lot of work to do

This California woman bought the world’s cheapest Porsche 911 GT3, but there was a lot of work to do.

A few months ago, this car was in mint condition.

Now, it was in a pitiful state after going up in flames and sitting abandoned in the sun.

YouTuber Emelia Hartford would have her work cut out for her if she wants this car back in tip-top condition.

This woman got her hands on the world’s cheapest Porsche 911 GT3

When you see this Porsche 911 GT3, you’ll understand why it’s been branded as the world’s cheapest.

The car looks like it came straight out of an apocalyptic movie, after a fire left it half-melted, both inside and out.

“It’s honestly so sad,” Hartford said.

“I have wanted a 911 GT3 for years, and this may be the only chance for me to get one at a ‘smoking deal’.”

How much are we talking about here?

Because we’ve seen bargain prices before.

One man paid $2,000 for the ‘world’s cheapest pickup truck’, whilst another spent $587 for a Range Rover on Facebook Marketplace.

Well, the deal that Hartford got for her Porsche 911 blows those all out of the park.

She bought the car for $1.

You read that right – a singular dollar. Less than a carton of milk.

A smoking deal indeed.

How much work did this car need?

The extent of the fire left Hartford stunned, particularly concerning the inside, which was melted.

With a caved-in roof and destroyed panels and wiring abound, it’d take a lot of work to get this car back into shape.

Although there’s some concern that the electrical system may be dead, the car started up again once the battery was reconnected.

However, any celebrations were short-lived, as a fuel leak quickly became apparent.

So the engine did run, but still needed work.

It’s also concluded that the right side wiring and plastics are beyond saving.

That being the side that was set on fire, of course.

But the other side was salvageable, leading Hartford to conclude that there was still hope yet.
