Car lot in Canada is 8.5 acre dream for anyone who loves classic Pontiac Firebirds and Chevy Camaros

This car lot in Canada is an 8.5-acre dream for anyone who loves classic Pontiac Firebirds and Chevy Camaros, because it’s a classic car paradise.

The property sits just outside Edmonton and holds one of the biggest classic American pony car collections in North America.

More than 2,000 Firebirds and Camaros can be found packed into those 8.5 acres.

It has become a destination for anyone looking for specific parts, project cars, or a restored classic.

The classic Pontiac Firebirds rising from the ashes

The owner of this classic car paradise, David Tywoniuk, spent more than 40 years building his vast collection after shifting away from working in the oil industry and into car restoration.

He focused on Pontiac Firebirds and Camaros because the demand was strong, and Alberta’s winter roads are treated with sand, meaning older cars survived with less rust.

His lot now is home to multiple generations of Firebirds, from early models to later ones.

Many of the cars were preserved specifically for their parts, and the yard has thousands of dismantled models with cataloged trim pieces, seats, interior components, glass, panels, and even hardware.

People restoring a Firebird often end up here because it’s one of the few places with large stocks of original parts still available to choose from.

All the best Chevy Camaros

The Camaro side of the yard is similar to the Firebird collection, stretching from 1967 through to 2002, with some cars being rough shells, while others are ready to drive with a little bit of TLC.

There are also unusual builds scattered around the property, including some Firebird limousines and even a lifted Four Wheel Drive 2002 Trans Am that stands out even in a sea of cars.

Tywoniuk has hinted that he may step back from day-to-day operations soon and eventually hand the property to someone with the same passion.

Whoever takes it on would inherit one of the most complete classic parts and project car collections anywhere in the world, let alone just North America.

For fans of Firebirds and Camaros, this 8.5-acre plot isn’t just a field full of rust buckets; it’s a love letter to North America’s most iconic GM pony cars.
