Manhart has made the BMW M4 CSL even more outrageous

The BMW M4 CSL isn’t exactly the most sober in the car world.

And somehow German tuner Manhart has made it even more outrageous by giving it more power and a crazy body kit.

Its power comes from a 3.0-liter twin-turbo straight-six but Manhart has tweaked the ECU to make it a lot more powerful.

While the standard BMW M4 CSL has to ‘make do’ with 542 hp, the Manhart one delivers 692 horsepower.

And it also has a much louder exhaust, which is always a plus.

Thanks to the upgraded powertrain, the CSL can now accelerate from standstill to 60 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds.

The bad news is Manhart hasn’t done anything to make the car lighter.

And that means that this sports car is still a bit ‘fat’, tipping the scales at 1,625 kg (3,800+ lbs).

The new body kit features exaggerated bumpers and side skirts.

Even the hood’s air scoops are larger – and they were already pretty large to begin with.

At the rear, you’ll also find a more pronounced lip spoiler and a massive diffuser with four tailpipes.

The new 20-inch forged wheels complete the look.

Inside the cabin, you’ll find bucket seats with four-point racing harnesses and a Clubsport roll cage, which was painted red.

There are also a lot of carbon fiber components to match the exterior.

It doesn’t look half bad, does it?

And the price tag?

There are only 1,000 M4 CSLs in existence so the first thing we have to remember is this car is quite rare.

The standard BMW M4 CSL costs $140,895 so you’ll probably need to fork out at least $250,000 to get this one tuned by Manhart.
