Inside F1 star Max Verstappen’s Bond-inspired car collection

Max Verstappen is clearly a huge fan of James Bond.

Let’s face it, who isn’t?

You only have to look at the F1 star’s car collection to see how much of a 007 fan he really is.

Aston Martin DB11

Back in 2019, Aston Martin was the title sponsor of Red Bull’s Formula One team.

As a result of the partnership, Verstappen appeared in a number of promotional videos for the British marque, and was even spotted behind the wheel of the real-life version of James Bond’s DB10 in Spectre, the Aston Martin DB11.

A muscular, rear-wheel-drive grand tourer, the DB11 comes with two engine options – the flagship 621bhp 5.2-liter V12 twin-turbo, or a lighter 496bhp 4.0-liter V8 twin turbo.

Aston Martin Vantage

Verstappen’s DB11 didn’t last long, though.

Not long after being seen in it, he reportedly swapped it for the then-freshly relaunched Aston Martin Vantage.

The Vantage must’ve held a warm place in the Dutchman’s heart, because when he was not following it as the F1 safety car, he spent his spare time putting the 503bhp 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 coupe through its paces.

Aston Martin DBS Superleggera

Verstappen then chose to move onto bigger and better things – the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera to be precise.

Who could blame him?

With a massively potent twin-turbo V12 up front, the brutal coupe produces a spine-tingling exhaust note that can wake the dead.

Aston Martin Valykrie

This is where Verstappen’s off-grid car collection gets super interesting.

It makes sense that the Aston Martin Valkyrie, jointly developed by the Red Bull F1 team and Aston, finds a place in his garage.

The Valykrie’s Cosworth-built naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 produces a whopping 1,160bhp and 664lb-ft of torque.

Ferrari Monza SP2

There’s a fierce rivalry between Red Bull and Ferrari on the track, but thankfully, that’s where it ends.

The Monza SP2 is rumored to be one of a handful of Ferraris to win a place in Max Verstappen’s car collection.

The Ferrari Monza SP2’s 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V12 produces 808bhp capable of 0-62mph in 2.9 seconds.

Renault R.S.01

Perhaps the most left-of-field inclusion in the Max Verstappen car collection is this one – the Renault R.S.01.

Manufactured by Renault Sport, the performance division of French automaker Renault, the R.S.01 was originally built to compete in the Renault Sport Trophy.

It’s the most powerful one-maker racer built by Renault, featuring a Dallara-developed carbon fiber chassis and the 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 from a Nissan GT-R.
