Supercars, be it a Ferrari or McLaren, are some of the most expensive cars in the world; there is no way of getting around the fact that they just aren’t cheap.
Even second-hand, they are pricey machines; some even rise in value as the years go on, but there are some that you may be able to afford.
True, you are going to need a healthy bank balance to afford to buy one and look after it, but they aren’t ‘impossible dreams.’
These are some of those supercars, some that are true giants of the segment, and others are ones you may not have thought of.

McLaren supercars are somewhat attainable
A modern supercar that many may want to look at is the McLaren 12C, formerly the MP4-12C.
The first McLaren roadcar after the F1, it featured a twin-turbocharged V8 engine, and it’s still a superb machine.
Prices can fluctuate from $120,000 to $160,000 depending on mileage, condition, etc.
If you are really lucky, you might be able to get your hands on a McLaren 570S.

Evolved from the 12C, it too had a twin-turbo V8 under the hood, but with a refined interior and updated exterior. And it’ll only set you back $150,000–$190,000.
If you fancy something with Italian flair, however, then the Ferrari 360 could be an option.
Available for as little as $90,000, the 360 is a modern classic, yet still looks as modern as an SF90 Stradale.
British modesty is also available for a good price
If you want something that isn’t quite a supercar, then how about a Lotus Esprit?
It’s a cult favorite, and while closer to a sports car, prices can be as low as $40,000.
You still get superb performance and gorgeous looks with the Esprit.
The one thing to be wary of is potentially tricky maintenance!
An Aston Martin V8 Vantage, however, could be another British icon to consider.
The 2005 model is a classic, powered by a 4.3-liter or 4.7-liter V8 that makes a glorious soundtrack.

Perhaps the best ‘cheap’ supercar you could buy, however, is the modern Nissan GT-R.
First appearing in 2009, it might look subtle, but it’s fast, reliable, raw, and a true giant killer, and it could be yours for $60,000–$120,000. It’s a bargain.
Truth be told, any of the cars we’ve mentioned here would be superb choices.
