Using only Temu parts, this Florida man took on the challenge of turning a cheap BMW M5 into a supercar.
When YouTuber Danny Z purchased the M5, he bought it for a fraction of its original retail value.
But there was a lot of work to do if he wanted to turn this deserted BMW into a high-powered supercar.
Could it be done while keeping to a budget? And with only Temu parts?
Taking a cheap BMW M5 and transforming it into a supercar
There were two main tasks at hand for Danny Z – completing a DIY exterior vinyl wrap, and installing budget-friendly carbon fiber modifications from Temu.
“BMW didn’t just build a sedan, they built a weapon. But the one I bought, it was far from that,” Danny said.
Working out of his garage, he used alcohol to prep the panels, stretched the vinyl with heat, and used knifeless tape for edge cuts.

He then went on to wrap the fenders, trunk, quarter panels, doors, rear bumper, hood, and front bumper.
It went pretty smoothly all in all, besides a minor incision mistake on the roof.
“If you’re feeling inspired to wrap a car by yourself, don’t be,” Danny joked.
“Go do something more efficient with your life. Go to school, learn how to trade…”
But then it was time for the budget friendly cosmetic parts.

The fender logos and side grills fitted like a dream, as did the rear spoiler.
It was a similar story for the mirror caps, rear diffuser, and side skirts.
In previous videos, Danny had failed with two prior aftermarket sets when it came to custom headlights.
Fortunately, this time around, it was a successful fit.

Was he happy with the end product?
“Forget the M3. Forget the 340i. Forget any other BMW,” Danny said.
“This is the most beautiful, elegant, aggressive car I’ve ever owned.”
There were a few minor details that needed smoothing out, like installing a $70 OEM M5 trunk logo and replacing a broken antenna.
There’s seemingly no shortage of things you can buy on Temu
In recent years, more and more people have been waking up to the fact that they can buy just about anything on Temu.
Whether it’s dirt bikes or mini-cars, there’s a whole plethora of stuff up for grabs.
And it’s not just Danny who is fixing up cars with Temu parts.
