An American man from Chicago was gifted an Audi car after he jumped onto railroad tracks to save a man’s life.
20-year-old Anthony Perry had spotted a fellow commuter nearly unconscious on the electrified third rail at a Chicago L station.
Perry’s actions to move the man and administer CPR helped save his life.
Following on from this, Perry, who did not own a car at the time of his heroic rescue, was gifted the 2009 Audi A8, which will make his life much easier.

The incident took place on the Chicago Red Line
Perry was going about his daily commute on the Chicago Transit Authority’s Red Line when he spotted a man unconscious on the electrified third rails of the railroad.
The man in question was clearly being shocked by the electrified rail.
Perry quickly realized he had to do something to save him.
He jumped down and avoided stepping on the live rails.
Thankfully, he was able to drag the man off and onto the lineside ballast.

Perry himself said: “I was hoping I could just grab him and not feel nothing, but I felt a little shock.”
He then added, “I felt it all through my body, actually. I didn’t let that stop me.”
According to the Associated Press and Chicago Sun-Times, the police are still investigating how the man fell onto the tracks.
A 2009 Audi was Perry’s reward for his bravery
At a special ceremony organized by Early Walker, founder of the anti-violence organization I’m Telling Don’t Shoot, Perry was presented with a $25 gasoline card.
Perry confessed to Walker that he didn’t have a car.
Walker revealed to Perry that the gas card was a little tease. Behind Perry, Walked unloaded a 2009 Audi A8 in as Perry’s real reward.

With the gas card getting him started, Perry will now be able to commute to his job at Amazon Fresh without needing to take two buses and a train.
Perry had administered CPR to the man who fell, with assistance from a fellow commuter.
Thanks to Perry’s actions, the man was taken to hospital, where he is expected to make a full recovery.
