China claims it has created a 50mph high speed road sweeper that clears highways in seconds and the video of it in action is wild to see

China claims to have created a 50mph high speed road sweeper clears highways in a matter of seconds.

This video has been doing the rounds on social media and it’s left people stunned.

Like a tornado on wheels, this road sweeper passed over a patch of dirty road and left it spotless within a matter of seconds.

It’s left many online envious, as many questioned why their own roads couldn’t be so clean, while others have been left confused by what they’ve seen.

This road sweeper can reportedly clean up streets while driving 50mph

Videos of this road sweeper in action have been popping up everywhere online from Reddit to Instagram to X.

Even Lin Jian, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in China, has spoken up about it.

In a post on X, he wrote: “Operating at up to 80 km/h, it clears metal, rubble, and bulky debris in seconds without disrupting traffic.

“Safety restored. Innovation in motion.”

You might be wondering what all the fuss is about.

After all, most of us will have seen a road sweeper in action at one point or another.

And sure, it’s nifty to see them at work but it’s hardly worth going viral over, right?

Well, take a look at the video below and see if you can understand what all the fuss is about.

Seeing the dirt vanish like that is nothing short of mesmerizing.

It’s like seeing a magic trick play out before your eyes.

And understandably, people across the internet are rubbing their eyes in disbelief.

People can’t help but feel jealous about this road sweeper

One sentiment seemed to pop up throughout comments sections.

Effectively, it was a lot of people lamenting the fact that their country didn’t have this road sweeper at work.

“My country still trying to fix a pothole since COVID,” one comment read.

“They’re really living in 2050,” another said.

“In the UK, that would be road closure, hours of sweeping up etc,” a third comment joked.

However, there was a fair share of skepticism too, as some questioned whether the video was AI generated.

It’s hard to say for certain, but an AI Video Detector assessed the video to be ‘Certified Human’.

Countries around the world have interesting ways of keeping their roads in top condition

Regardless of whether or not this road sweeper is the real deal, we’ve seen plenty of real road innovations from around the world.

In Switzerland, they utilize an ingenious roadworks method that ensures traffic isn’t disrupted.

Over in Japan, they have a way of clearing snow from the roads that other countries could stand to imitate.

In general, Japan has some great habits when it comes to driving – whether it’s parking courtesy or paying at broken toll booths.
