We’ve all been there – being caught in an awkward position or a tight spot when a driver is trying to get past us.
It’s not ideal and it can be awkward for all involved.
But if this car’s capabilities are anything to go by, that uncertainty could soon be a thing of the past.
This Chinese car has thoroughly impressed the internet with its crab walk
Chinese cars have been getting more and more attention these last few years.
A few decades ago, you would have rarely heard the country mentioned when talk of great car-building nations arose.
But these days, people can’t seem to get enough of Chinese cars and all the cool things they can do.
Whether it’s replicating classic 1950s American cars or beating BMWs and Audis in suspension tests, these cars from the east are coming out on top in multiple forums.
And that’s nothing compared to the off-roading capabilities demonstrated by the BYD Yangwang U8.
Now, a Chinese car is impressing the internet yet again.
A video shared to Instagram showed a car pull behind another, awkwardly stuck between lanes.
It’s a position no driver wants to find themselves in.
Fortunately, this car – which appears to be a Denza Z9 GT – could crabwalk.
With minimal effort and an enviable smoothness, the car shifted over into the next lane.
No need for awkward maneuvering.
People in the comments section were very impressed by this.
“[The Chinese] are changing the world,” one wrote.
“Chinese cars > German cars,” another said.
“China is taking over the world’s car production. They’re better than any luxury brand car producers,” a third viewer commented.
This is sentiment we’ve seen expressed on the internet before, so it’s no wonder that western manufacturers appear to be worried about the competition from abroad.
Taking a closer look at the Denza Z9 GT
The Denza Z9 GT is the brain child of Denza, a company owned by BYD and Mercedes.
Promoted in Europe as a luxury car, it goes relatively cheaply in its homeland.
With a range of 644 miles, the Z9 GT easily dwarves the competition.
It’s been positioned as the car to take on Porsche in the international markets.
Denza’s cars are consistently wowing us.
Recently, Supercar Blondie’s very own team got up close and personal with the Denza Z Convertible at Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Supercar Blondie’s newest presenter, Chloe, was able to drive the car at Goodwood because that’s where the car made its dynamic debut.
She was given the chance to drive it around the track, where three things stood out.
The noise it makes, the speed, and the stability.
There was no demonstration of the crab walk, but plenty of other cool features got a chance to shine.
