Chinese company Shanghai Electric just built a warehouse robot worker that never gets tired.
Say hello to SUYUAN, the humanoid that can lift boxes, sort crates, and stroll around the workplace like it’s on payroll.
Its brain can crunch 275 trillion operations per second, which basically means it reacts faster than you do when someone drops a glass in the kitchen.
And unlike humans, it doesn’t need coffee or lunch breaks.

SUYUAN works like a human, only faster
Standing 5’6” and weighing 110lbs, SUYUAN is roughly human-shaped, but it’s all gears and code under the tracksuit.
The humanoid has got 38 joints, giving it the dexterity to handle real tasks, leaving old-school clunky bots in the dust.
During its big reveal at WAIC 2025 in Shanghai, SUYUAN calmly spotted, picked up, and relocated crates of all sizes, making the whole process look easy.

The secret sauce is its AI brain, which can process 275 TOPS (trillion operations per second).
Translation: it can see, think, and move in real time without phoning home to a server.
The robot worker walks about 3mph, lifts 4.5lbs with one arm, and carries 22lbs total – not superhero stuff, sure, but exactly what factories and warehouses need.
Basically, SUYUAN is the employee who never calls in sick and actually thrives on menial labor.
China’s humanoid robot race is getting serious
Shanghai Electric isn’t stopping with just one robot worker.
The company’s teamed up with Johnson Electric to build the next wave of humanoids, including LINGKE – a dual-arm bot that can make factories five times more efficient.
Meanwhile, Robotera’s L7 recently went viral for its smooth running form, looking almost human as it sprinted in side-by-side tests against an actual runner.
And over in another corner of the country, Booster Robotics has launched the world’s first humanoid soccer league, where robots are dribbling, passing, and even scoring with more fluidity than you’d expect from something made of metal.

China already has 189 humanoid robotics patents filed and 120 approved, which means the country isn’t just dipping a toe into the robot game – it’s cannonballing in.
For now, SUYUAN’s just moving boxes, but give it a few years and this thing might be training its replacements.
At 275 trillion ops per second, it’s basically employee of the month forever… if you can get past the whole ‘never blinks’ thing.
Robots that work harder than you and never sleep – what could possibly go wrong?
