Chinese EV tech is considered among the best in the auto sphere, and it’s not hard to see why.
From increased range to batteries that are better for the environment than ever before, 2026 is set to be a record-breaking year for electric vehicle technology.
This latest pre-production offering from Xpeng and Aridge proves that anything is possible, taking flying cars to a whole new level.
The offering consists of a new range-extending EV, along with an attached electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft, AKA eVTOL.

This futuristic Chinese EV is the gift that keeps on giving
It’s no secret that the car industry is reaching new heights, and this release may just be the most mind-blowing creation that we’ve ever seen.

Meet the Xpeng Land Aircraft Carrier, a Chinese EV that has quite literally reached new heights.
Not only can you explore the world by car, but also by your own personal aircraft, AKA an eVTOL.
Thanks to Aridge, the new Chinese EV comes complete with the ultimate airborne mode of transportation.
The EV itself is a ‘six-wheel vehicle drivable with a standard license’, which comes complete with a spacious four-seater design that can fit into standard-sized parking spaces.

The personal aircraft element: What you need to know
Although the vehicle is still reportedly in pre-production, the features are simply too impressive not to share.
The eVTOL has a specialized design consisting of six rotors, dual ducts, and foldable blades and arms.

Airidge, a subsidiary of Xpeng, is the mastermind behind the craft, which has a 270-degree panoramic cockpit, made from a single piece of polycarbonate glass that’s ‘200 times more impact resistant than regular glass’.
The carbon fiber structure also provides reliability and strength, with a low weight.
Aside from the impressive eVTOL, the Chinese EV also has range-extending abilities, claiming to be the World’s First 800V High-Voltage Silicon Carbide Range-Extended Platform.
Of course, regulating the EV will be a challenge, and a required action for it to reach the US, but all we can say for now is watch this space.
