The latest Chinese supercar has officially arrived, but this 1,000 HP prototype might not be quite what you’ve come to expect.

For one thing, it comes with four doors and pickup truck wheel studs.

It also comes from a relatively unheard of company.

And it is set to make its official world premiere next month.

The latest Chinese supercar has landed

As you probably know by now, China is no longer a stranger to the supercar.

And now there is another new kid on the block.

This latest prototype is from a company that you likely have never heard of: Starry Sky Automotive.

Like its rivals, this latest Far East upstart appears to have very lofty ambitions.

That is because it has European royalty such as Lamborghini and Ferrari in its sights.

This prototype is also set to prove that the ambition is more than just tough talk.

Next month is set to see the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) take place in Las Vegas.

And Starry Sky Automotive will be bringing along its party piece for the world to see.

Not your average 1,000 HP offering

Okay, so we’ve discussed Starry Sky Automotive and its hefty ambitions.

But what are the highlights of the prototype itself?

Straight off the bat, a few things immediately catch the eye.

The appearance itself isn’t necessarily the most captivating.

It follows the traditional supercar format of a low-slung body coupled with aerodynamics here and there.

But one eye-catching detail is the number of doors.

And that is because this prototype is actually a four-door offering.

It’s actually a close-up shot of the wheels that provides the most interesting detail.

The close-up reveals six wheel studs present – a feature most commonly seen on SUVs and pickup trucks.

As for the rest of the offering, a huge rear wing occupies the entire back quarter.

Full-width tail lights are accompanied by a huge selection of air intakes and outlets.

As far as actual specs go, the simple answer is that we don’t actually know yet.

Chinese media has reported a power output of 1,000 HP.

It is also likely to be an all-electric offering – much like its domestic rivals.

The future of Starry Sky Automotive is going to be fascinating to see unfold.
