A Chinese vacuum cleaner company has said that it now wants to make the world’s fastest hypercar EV and compete with Rimac, Bugatti, and Koenigsegg.
China has been impressing and worrying its rivals with its latest cars, many of which are fully electric, with another company joining the fray.
Dreame Technology is best known for its vacuum cleaners, although it calls itself the ‘Apple of China.’ But they have recently announced that they intend to create a new electric hypercar.
However, they’ve revealed little about the car so far, which could potentially remain a pipe dream for Dreame.

What has Dreame said about its potential world’s fastest hypercar?
The company announced its intentions to build an electric hypercar via its social media and in a statement.
Its goal is to follow in the footsteps of tech companies such as Xiaomi with the SU7, as well as Huawei.
Both companies, most famous for making smartphones, have recently launched their own electric cars.
Dreame is hoping to get in on the action, but it claims it won’t be starting from scratch.

According to Dreame, it will utilize China’s EV supply chain and manufacturing ecosystem.
That, they say, will help them to position the company ‘on the shoulders of giants.’
It suggests that the company is also looking to partner up with an already established EV manufacturer/supplier in China.
The Chinese vacuum cleaner company has a lot of work to do
While it has big plans, Dreame also has plenty of work to do.
Fellow vacuum cleaner company Dyson also planned to make its own electric car, but eventually shelved those plans.
The likes of Rimac, Bugatti, and Koenigsegg have long established themselves as big players in the hypercar market.
It won’t be easy for Dreame Technology to break into the segment and make a success of it.

Chinese media company Lyiou has said a new division, Dreame Auto, has been set up to work on the project.
They also claim they have around 1,000 staff already, and want to debut the new hypercar in 2027.
Plus, it is aiming for it to be the world’s fastest hypercar.
That is a big goal when we know very little about the car itself.
We can’t wait to find out!
