This 1967 Chevy Impala is crying out for a restoration after it was left parked in a field for years.

The poor old Chevrolet would have been an eye-catching vehicle once upon a time.

Unfortunately, those days are long gone and the years spent outside have taken their toll.

Thankfully, the vintage Chevy has since been rescued and is a prime candidate for a full restoration.

The Chevy Impala was in a seriously sorry state

We love it when a forgotten car is given a new lease on life, like this Toyota Celica GT-Four that was lovingly restored by its new owner or this barn find Ferrari 512BBi that was brought back to life after 17 years off the road.

Thankfully, there are plenty of talented folks out there willing to take on such a challenge – and here’s hoping one of them steps in to get this 1967 Chevrolet Impala back up and running.

The Impala was rescued by car enthusiast Thomas Mortske from the Mortske Repair YouTube channel.

The one-owner Impala had been parked in a field for 16 years and Mortske didn’t shy away from revealing just how tired and damaged the classic car was.

As he inspected the vehicle, pieces of rusted metal fell away from the frame into his hand – not ideal.

In fact, Mortske said the Impala had the rustiest frame he’d ever come across and its paintwork was crying out to be repainted.

The car would make an incredible restoration project

The interiors were in a similar state, with rubbish strewn across the seats and clear signs that a family of mice had called it home for at least some of its time parked.

And the issues didn’t end there.

Under the hood, the old Chevy Impala had a powerful V8 engine, but – as you might have guessed – it no longer turned over.

Basically, it’s a very long list – so much so, it’d probably be easier to name the things that work in the Impala rather than those that don’t.

However, after a lot of tinkering Morteske did manage to get the engine to turn over – meaning that the Impala could make a very interesting restoration project for the right person.

To get the project started, Morteske took a jet washer to the Impala, ripped out the old broken interior, and took a leaf blower to the junk and rubbish that had built up inside it.

Despite its condition, Mortske revealed the car had been snapped up by a new owner – here’s hoping it gets the restoration it deserves.
