Classic 1972 Chevy C20 meets modern Silverado tech for the ultimate vintage vibe

Check out this awesome restomod classic that combines a 1972 Chevy C20 with a modern Silverado, it creates the ultimate vintage vibe.

ICON 4X4 recently used the shell of an old Chevy C20 that had five generations of owners, on top of a brand-new Chevy Silverado frame under the hood.

The team tried hard to keep the original wear-and-tear of this old-school truck at the forefront, so while it was restored to better than its original glory, the love it had over five decades remained.

It’s the perfect vintage dream, looks old-school and well-loved, but souped-up enough that any boy racer would want to drive it.

Nothing screams pure Americana like the combination of two different Chevy trucks, but ICON 4X4 has managed to create a restomod car so iconic, it harkens back to an era long gone.

Using the shell of an old Chevy C20 that had been through five generations of a single family, ICON decided to keep the love and wear that it had received over the years.

In the ‘resto’ part of the restomod, the automaker fixed up all the parts that needed it and totally redid the inside, creating a sort of retro-futuristic vision for the old pickup made new.

If you looked under the C20’s hood, you’d find pure power in the form of a brand-new Chevy Silverado frame.

The 3.5-liter V8 engine was left in the pickup, so you can hit the trails with a cool 355HP, which is very impressive, as the C20 also got the Silvy’s six-speed automatic transmission.

In the interior, you get a green leather custom split bench that can be adjusted, and the same green leather lines the steering wheel.

The only things that don’t fit in with the retro aesthetic are the high-speed USB ports and the cup holder, but this is the perfect classic car lover’s paradise.
