This mechanic in Colorado shared the biggest lie customers tell them, and it’s a simple sentence that you probably use without thinking.
We get it, when things go wrong, it can be a stressful situation, but according to this car expert, there is one big lie that everyone is likely to be guilty of.
And, after hearing the lie, other drivers simply had to comment and share their opinions on whether they thought it was accurate.
But, once you hear what it is, you’ll realise it’s more about the intention behind the saying that grates on mechanics’ gears.

Mechanic shared biggest lie customers tell
When it comes to fixing cars, many mechanics have shared what they deal with on a daily basis, from the type of repairs they undertake to other bits of life behind the scenes.

But now, one car expert has shared the biggest lie customers tell.
The guys over on the accurateautoinc TikTok account shared the lie, and it turns out many of us may have been using it this whole time.
The offender? The phrase: “Ever since you’ve touched my car.”
The mechanic who took center stage on the video explained the phrase, and that it is sometimes used after a customer has added as many as 20,00 miles to the odometer.
“Ever since you’ve touched my car, and it’s been a ridiculous amount of time since we’ve seen you or your vehicle, that’s the part where it really gets under my skin,” said the mechanic.

After hearing the mechanic’s point of view, car fans online shared what they thought of the customer lie.
“I don’t think it’s really a lie. People do not pay attention to their cars until they have work done. But yeah, some people try to get something out of you,” said one user.
“Just had this happen last week. It was a year since I had worked on that car,” added a fellow car worker.
“It literally does happen, though. Some mechanics create more problems for businesses while under the hood. It 100 percent does happen,” added another driver.
Other mechanics have tried to help drivers out with handy advice
From which car parts to buy, to how to make your car last, some mechanics have offered out tips online, and they could come in very handy.
In fact, one mechanic shared a clever and frivolous windscreen wiper tip that he says ‘he’ll forever live by’.
Plus, another creator and car whizz shared an ingenious use for the plastic lid of a jug of antifreeze and coolant liquid.
