After pulling over a BMW because it had no hood, the Victoria Police force in Australia got the surprise of their life after finding a garden chair was being used as a driver’s seat.
Talk about DIY cars.
We cover a ton of makeshift mod projects here at Supercar Blondie. But this might take top spot as the most bizarre creation yet.
Victoria Police in Australia pulled over the BMW on Monday, citing its unsafe ‘topless’ look. And it turned out to have no pants either.

This ‘topless’ BMW had more than a surprise in the front ‘seat’
As far as DIY cars go, there have been some awesome budget mods that you can’t help but applaud.
One artist has even gone around pimping strangers’ rides with some simple supercar adjustments.
This BMW in Australia appeared to be in the process of being restored, and attracted the unwanted attention of the cops thanks to its lack of a hood.
The on-show engine wasn’t the biggest shock, though. When they approached the car, it lacked a driver’s seat, and the man behind the wheel was kicking back in a plastic garden chair.

The car was pulled over on Monday, July 21. The police on hand then noticed strange cushions visible from the window.
The makeshift seat was still better than the back leather seats, which had seen many better days.
In fact, the whole car looked like it had been gutted and was one step away from being sent to the scrapyard.
64-year-old man was in the process of giving it a well-needed refurb
According to the Victoria Police, the driver was a 64-year-old man, and he claimed that he was heading to get some parts for the car – presumably seats.
Despite this, the cops were forced to issue a ticket, and the man admitted that he knew the car was not roadworthy.

We really hope that the BMW will soon be given the second lease of life that it deserves.
After all, the German cars are primed for restoration builds, like this 1 Series transformation.
