This couple spent 10 years building two huge luxury homemade yachts in their backyard, and one looks like it came straight out of a legitimate factory.
Building a yacht of any description is a tough task, yet husband-and-wife duo Vita and Hena were determined when they took on the enormous project.
The two documented the yacht builds on their Creative Couple Youtube channel, showcasing the journey from start to finish.
These weren’t scale models either, they were full-size yachts built from start to finish in their backyard.
Why the couple wanted to build two homemade yachts
The couple call themselves yachtsmen, and they simply wanted to express their creativity and inspire others to do the same.
From start to finish, it took the couple five years to build the two homemade yachts – one made with wood and the other with steel.
It was a herculean effort.
They did also face their fair share of challenges.

They said funding the mammoth project was a huge challenge, especially as they were working full time, building a house and having children all at the same time.
Vita and Hena also said they faced doubt from friends and neighbors who thought the project was potentially too much to take on.
“Our neighbors thought we were weirdos and often laughed at us. But then, when they saw the result, they were amazed and filled with respect for us,” they said.
What did they do with the two yachts?
A time-lapse video shows the construction of the two vessels, and both look incredible.
However, it wasn’t a fully happy ending for the two homemade vessels.

“We were forced to sell the wooden yacht, as we did not have enough money to complete the construction of our house,” they said.
“And at that time we really needed our own house.
“Because during the construction of a wooden yacht, my wife gave birth to a daughter and a son.”
Although they had to sell one of the yachts, the family was able to keep the other.
And it still serves them to this day.
