This custom-built 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is an absolute work of art.
There is also the small fact that it is more powerful than most hypercars.
The headline story is the V8 under the hood, but trust us – there is a whole lot more to it than that.
And the best part is that it is available for you to buy on SBX Cars!

This Chevrolet Bel Air has a V8 on steroids
The 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is a true four-wheeled icon in its own right.
But this particular example decided to take the ball and sprint with it.
Not only is it an absolute stunner with its mint green paint finish, but there is so much more besides.
Chrome bumpers are complemented by custom alloy wheels that make this example pop.
But the best part of it all is what lies under the hood.
And trust us – it will absolutely blow your mind.

Popping the hood of this 1957 icon reveals a V8 powerplant.
At first reading, this might not seem much like headline news.
It’s GM’s 427 cubic inch LS3 V8, the same engine you’d find in different Corvettes and Camaros.
But it is the additional touches made to the engine that set this one apart.
This V8 comes with not one, but TWO turbochargers.
These are complemented by a custom-made turbo piping and intake, as well as a completely color-coordinated engine bay.

Translating all of the above comes to one important number: 1,200hp.
And that is just on normal gasoline.
Adding some race gasoline to the mix adds another 400hp to this Bel Air.
Not bad for a 1950s hot rod, right?

Chevrolet icon fuses past with the present
This absolutely pristine vehicle is also practically brand-new.
It has done just 64 miles since it was built.
Perhaps the lucky new owner will hope to add a lot more.
Apart from the power, what sets this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air apart?
The main factor is that this car is still perfect for a bona fide Chevy collector.
Everything under the surface is cutting-edge and practically brand-new.
But the body itself is still straight out of the 1950s.
The interior is also almost entirely period-accurate.

Only one detail is different – the infotainment screen.
This also doubles as a digital dashboard, which sits right behind the steering wheel.
If you’re interested, this beauty is located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
It has already attracted a lot of bidding interest on SBX Cars, and is being sold with a reserve price, but perhaps that won’t matter.
Make sure to stay tuned and keep an eye on this 1950s icon!
