A Tesla Cybertruck owner managed to fix a problem with his EV truck that even Tesla couldn’t solve, using a $13 DIY product he bought on Amazon.
Jay Larson, an Arizona-based podiatrist posted on social media about his experience attempting to fix the EV truck on his own.
After replacing the windshield of the car, he also noticed that the vehicle started making a high-pitched whistling noise.
He took the truck to a Tesla service center in Tempe, Arizona but that didn’t change anything, so he took matters into his own hands.

Cybertruck owner fixes his truck after Tesla gave up
After Larson’s first trip to the Tesla service center, they told him the problem was gone.
Unfortunately, it showed no improvement so he took it there a second time.
This time they told him the issue was normal for a Cybertruck and that they couldn’t replicate the sound he was complaining about.
A case of ‘you can’t fix what is not broken.’
Obviously, Larson was not happy with this response and began looking around for a solution.
Fortunately, he was able to find a DIY solution on Amazon that would only cost him $13.
A $13 DIY solution from Amazon
Larson originally replaced the bulletproof windshield of his Tesla Cybertruck due to a factory defect.
However, it also left a gap at the top of the windshield, which led to the issue.
Fortunately, Larson found a roll of 9 mm silicone weather stripping on Amazon that perfectly fit the gap at the top of the windshield.
According to Larson, the Tesla Cybertruck was whisper-quiet after the fix, even at 90 mph.
However, it’s unfortunate that it cost him $13 when it should’ve been covered by the Tesla service center.
