Daniel Radcliffe was quite modest with his first paycheck from the Harry Potter movies, buying a simple car to enjoy.
However, just a few years later, the actor decided he wanted an upgrade, so there was a massive change in the car he drove.
He went from a small Italian hatchback to a fast Italian supercar that many of us could only dream about having in our garage.
But when you are the successful star of one of the biggest film franchises the world has ever seen, you can afford to treat yourself once or twice.

What car did Daniel Radcliffe first own?
In 2008, Daniel Radcliffe celebrated his 18th birthday, and at that point, he had already earned a lot.
But rather than buy something really flashy, the Harry Potter star went for a very modest car.
He bought a Fiat Punto, having decided that it was better for the environment than anything else.
The Grande Punto was ranked as one of the top five most environmentally friendly cars in the UK, and the actor had already forged a reputation for being careful with his carbon footprint.
Radcliffe even decided against any sporty upgrades for the car.

Equally, the small hatchback meant Radcliffe could stay under the radar, and no one would notice the car.
It was a clever way to avoid the likes of the paparazzi if he wanted to pop out for the day.

Radcliffe soon decided to buy an Italian supercar
But like many other celebrities, Radcliffe soon decided to add something more fun to his fleet.
With a net worth of around $110 million today, it is perhaps no surprise that he upgraded.
The actor went and bought a Lamborghini Huracán, a wild supercar with a 5.2-liter V10 under the hood.
With over 600hp available, the Huracán wasa massive step up from the little Punto.

While not as environmentally friendly, many of us would love to own a car like the Lamborghini Huracán.
But he still likes something modest, as he also has a Volkswagen Passat in his garage worth around $30,000.
So even if you are a multi-millionaire Hollywood Harry Potter star, you can still be quite modest at the same time.
