How does gifting a real supercar like the Ferrari F8 Spider to a one-year-old sound?
Not a great idea, right? But American rapper DDG actually did that recently.
The Michigan rapper made headlines by gifting his son Halo a Ferrari F8 Spider for his first birthday.
This unusual move by the rapper sparked a conversation online, with many congratulating the family and others criticizing them.

DDG gifts Ferrari F8 Spider supercar to his one-year-old son
DDG and his ex-girlfriend, singer Halle Bailey, split last October and decided to co-parent their son, Halo.
It was their son’s first birthday, and the ex-couple wanted to celebrate it with a big bash – thus came the Ferrari supercar into the picture.
While it would have been an amazing gift from a father to his son like this teenager, gifting it to a toddler raised eyebrows.
DDG posted several photos of himself with his son, Halle, and their new Ferrari on his official Instagram handle.
The caption on the post read, “HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY TO MY 1ST BORN.”
In a sweet moment with his son and the car, Halo sat on the bonnet, while DDG held him so he doesn’t fall.
In another photo, all three sat inside the car.
To say the least, Halo needs to wait for a long time to test out his 1st birthday gift ever – unless he’s a motorhead like Zayn Sofuoğlu, a five-year-old who recently drove a Lamborghini Revuelto.
A Mixed Bag of Reactions to the Post
Now coming to the fans’ reaction to DDG’s unusual gift to his son.
While most users wished the day to the young boy and commented on the precious family moment, there were others who criticized the move.
One user commented: “Why would you get a real car tho… [?]”
Another one said: “You brought that car for yourself sir. Halo can’t do nothing with that car right now.”
Whether DDG bought the Ferrari F8 Spider for himself or for his son, it’s something the family will cherish for life.
