This is a super rare De Tomaso Pantera with just 13,000+ miles from new, which is almost unheard of for a 42-year-old Italian supercar.

Aside from the low mileage and unique paint option, we should also remember that this is one of only 250 units.

Most of which are either lost or destroyed, or are in bad shape.

And, clearly, that’s not the case with this one.

The reason why these supercars are becoming more popular

Alejandro De Tomaso is a legend, but an underrated one.

Born in Argentina, De Tomaso spent most of his adult life in Italy, where he worked for major manufacturers before starting his own supercar brand.

The company is technically still alive and active, but it’s been rebranded a few times.

Modern De Tomasos have nothing in common with the original icons.

And it shows.

Today, De Tomaso is seen as a last bastion of analog supercars, and it’s also considered a great bridge between Italian styling and American engineering.

That’s because a few De Tomasos are powered by American horses, including the one you see here.

This Italian supercar hides an American V8 secret

Available from SBX Cars, this 1984 De Tomaso Pantera GT5 is in mint condition and only has 21,579km (13,408 miles) on the clock.

Cosmetically, we’re looking at a unique color, combining black and purple called ‘Amarena Metallizzato’ or Black Cherry, with matching burgundy leather interior.

The bodywork is factory: from the fiberglass fender flares to the side skirts, everything is standard.

The car underwent an extensive $85,000 restoration and has been recognized within the Pantera Owners Club of America.

This is rare, too.

One of only around 250 units in total, this one is being offered through SBX Cars, and there are only eight days to go.
