A car dealer in West Virginia has been trying to sell this beautiful K-Code 1965 Ford Mustang since 2023 and is still on the hunt for a buyer.

The Ford Mustang was launched back in 1964 and almost immediately became a cult classic.

In 1965, the Ford Mustang was available with four engine options, the most powerful of which was the K-code model which produced 271 horsepower.

For context, the standard D-code engine offered just 210 horsepower.

The Ford Mustang K-code is a sought-after model

Decades on from their launch, Ford Mustangs remain as desirable as ever with collectors keen to snap up rare and interesting models, such as this one-of-nine 1967 example found rotting away in a garden, or this original 1964 Ford Mustang that’s worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The K-code Mustangs are also incredibly sought-after models due to their rarity.

As well as their more powerful engines, the K-codes came with a special handling package.

Only around 7,000 K-code Mustangs were produced in 1965 – making this one in West Virginia a great find.

The stunning Mustang started life as a Tropical Turquoise vehicle with a white interior, however, it’s since been repainted a head-turning bright red.

This 1965 example is in great shape

The car is in fantastic shape and has even held onto its original engine.

The 1965 Ford Mustang would have originally had a four-speed transmission, but this has since been swapped out for a five-speed.

The seller – American Mustangs – notes that the body is completely rust-free and original.

So it seems hard to believe that the car hasn’t been able to find a buyer since 2023.

An eBay listing from May of 2023 had the Mustang on sale for $65,000, but it was canceled with the item being labeled as ‘no longer available’.

Fast-forward a couple of years and the car is again for sale with the same asking price.

American Mustangs shared a video on YouTube giving potential buyers a close-up look at the vehicle and it’s well worth a watch.
