The humble Jeep is loved by gearheads in its standard form, but there’s a new kind of car in town, and it’s called the BoatTruck, all thanks to Discovery.
The unique invention was shown in a preview on Discovery’s Truck Dynasty, and it was a unique sight.
Forget your bog-standard sailboats or a rubber dinghy, this whole vehicle took to the water like it was nobody’s business.
And, the show had lots to say about the amphibious invention.

This BoatTruck is a Jeep that gives off-roading a whole new meaning
We all know that Jeep is known for its tough, mean vehicles, including the Wrangler, the Cherokee, and the Gladiator, but there’s a new kid on the block.
Meet the BoatTruck, the car that redefines the word ‘off-roader’, and you guessed it, goes in the water.
The invention was shown on a clip on Discovery’s Truck Dynasty.

“I was very sceptical when I heard about the BoatTruck.
“I couldn’t imagine how a truck that could weigh as much as a Jeep could actually float and make it through the water,” explained one of the team members on the program.
But it turns out that he was blown away by the invention.
You see, the Jeep BoatTruck had a removable rudder and a huge prop tied to the axle, and as the drive shaft turned, it turned.

The BoatTruck truly took to the water with ease and didn’t look out of place bobbing along the shore, complete with its huge wheels and shiny white exterior.
The Jeep is the ultimate off-roading companion
When it comes to exploring tricky terrain and unusual environments, the car brand is often a popular choice among gearheads.
The unique designs and even mods mean that the car is equipped for even the most unexpected of situations.
In fact, Jeep Wrangler drivers who’ve reached 100,000 miles revealed what their vehicles are like.
Plus, a Florida man took a Ram 1500 and mashed it up with a Wrangler to create a Jeep pickup, and it’s impressive.
You can take a look at the unique Jeep BoatTruck below and decide for yourself if it’s a sink or a stunt, thanks to Discovery.
