Jay-Z and Lenny S gift emotional DJ Khaled a red 1991 BMW M3 for his 50th after he lost original model in a fire

Another oneee – DJ Khaled has taken to social media to reveal a red 1991 BMW M3, and it turns out that it was a heartfelt homage to his youth, gifted to him by Jay-Z and Lenny S.

When the big five-oh comes calling, many people use the half-century mark to look back over what they’ve done in life so far.

For DJ Khaled, as his 50th came around on November 26, he took the opportunity to look back at his first car, and how he started his career selling items out of its boot.

But after it caught fire in his youth, celebrity rap artist duo Jay-Z and Lenny S decided it was time for him to revisit that chapter of his past with an E30 BMW M3.

How DJ Khaled blew up his first BMW M3

Having always been one for the flashy things in life, we often see DJ Khaled flexing massively wealthy purchases.

But when it comes to cars, he’s been known to give back to fans, such as was with this Rolls-Royce golfing giveaway.

His car journey started some 35 years ago, though, as a 15-year-old Khaled netted himself a BMW M3 after ‘husslin’.

However, it didn’t last long, as the beloved vehicle went up in flames.

“The vision was so clear, we used to throw parties and rent out halls. We charged five dollars at the doors, and they would fly in like graffiti, and I bought the M3,” he explained.

“I was like 15 to 16, and I put a system in it, and the whole car caught fire.”

Since then, the famed rapper has gone on to have custom ‘cappucino’ Rolls-Royce Maybachs and Ferrari Suderia F1 cars on his driveway, showing just how far he’s come.

But as he turned 50, Jay-Z and Lenny S bought him the ultimate nostalgia wagon.

Starting out with a framed picture of the rapper with his old-school ’90s ride, the pair handed over a minuscule model of his favorite car, as DJ Khaled reminisced.

However, as he explained the mods he used on his old engine, DJ Akademiks (gifting on behalf of Jay-Z and Lenny S) said, ‘we don’t have the system, but we have the car’.

Outside, lit up with a front license plate of ‘Khaleds M3’ was a mint-condition 1991 BMW M3, exactly like the original.

The rear license plate was even the same as the original picture, which was also private.

The iconic BMW M3 is a popular choice in rap culture, and its celebrity status has seen it overtake even the likes of a Lamborghini Gallardo in price.

This throwback car will likely land itself in decorated company, but hopefully, it will be a popular choice when he picks the car of the day from his massive collection.
